Practical experiments always bring a subject to life and our break-out group on circuits and how they can be modified to generate both light and sound certainly was a big hit with our year 5 girls. Science is for everyone at The Mead School!
Last term year 6 battled against wind, rain and lockdown rehearsals to film their production of A Midsummer Nights Dream. Evidently they did a wonderful job - winning the competition and taking home 2 awards. We could not be more proud! Congratulations Year 6!!
At the end of last term one of our very creative and talented year 6 Leadership Teams ran The Mead School Photography Competition, utilising their entrepreneurial and creative talents to gain the support of pupils, teachers and our generous FoM.
Learn more about both the Photography Competition and the Year 6 Leadership Initiative behind it.
In Pre Reception we are often found on the Astro, out in all weathers, building our fine motor skills, balance and core strength. To see what also goes on in the class room, join us as we learn all about our emotions through colour. How our imagination ignites our passion for learning and other cultures from around the globe too.
It was wonderful to still be able to hold our Prizegiving Ceremony for Year 6 on our astro, albeit with social distancing and a scaled down version from our usual whole school event at the Trinity Theatre.
