3,2,1.. Action! Cue – Performing Arts at The Mead
The benefits of children participating in the Performing Arts are enormous: building confidence, encouraging teamwork, empathising with characters, exposing children to a creative environment and more. Often we find that children who start their school careers less outgoing find an outlet in drama, growing onstage and off as their confidence increases and performing talents develop.
We are hugely proud of our strong performing arts team here at The Mead, with many children pursuing West End auditions, scholarships, singing, dance/movement and drama. Exposure to drama lessons, LAMDA Exams, acting certifications and continuous performance opportunities (not least the end-of-year play featuring the whole school!) help bring out and then nurture the children in all aspects of performing.
