Magical New Beginnings
As we roll into Autumn, after a summer of exceptional weather, we were delighted to welcome the children to the new academic year and greet new faces at our school gate for their first day. The children came bouncing back into school, and when asked how their summers were…:
“I’m just so happy to see my friends and be back at school!”
An excited Year 4 student
The genesis of a school year is full of joy. What excitement to see old friends, meet new ones, wear the school uniform and get settled into a new class! The eagerness of a year ahead of learning and all the new experiences and responsibilities each school year brings. We aim to provide these opportunities with the security and support required for every child to feel success and make memories that last a lifetime.
Developments
Over the summer holidays, the school was internally repainted and repolished, kicking off the academic year with a fresh, new look. In Reception, the children were thrilled to see a brand new outside area with myriad engaging activities: a sandpit, outdoor vegetable garden, outdoor kitchen, drawing board, tables, a shed full of toys and so much more!
This Term
The Autumn term is a busy one full of football and hockey tournaments, school matches (football, hockey, netball, cross country and rugby), kent test, phonics, forest club, school trips, house music competition, open classroom, harvest festival, choir performances, inter-house spelling, nativity/carol concert and a trip to the panto! Before we know it, we will have the Christmas tree up!
We wish all the children a wonderful first week back and term ahead.
