‘Quiz-Tastic’ Night of Fun & Charity Fundraising!
The Friends of The Mead Quiz Night ‘joyraiser’ on Saturday night was a brilliant evening.
With thinking caps firmly in place, the 13 teams spent a challenging but fun couple of hours puzzling over a fantastic set of questions compiled by the Quiz Night organisers, parents Mr and Mrs McIntosh.
There was a three-way tie for first place; with ‘Old School’, ‘The Thinking Slips’ and ‘The Spanish In-Quiz-Ition’ drawing with 62 points. After a tense tie-breaker ‘The Spanish In-Quiz-Ition’ was declared the winner.
It was a successful night for the Hispanic themed team, who were also crowned the prize of Best Decorated Table. Best team name went to the jungle-themed ‘Easy Tiger – Grrrr’.
A huge thanks to FoM and Mr and Mrs McIntosh for organising a wonderful night for our Mead community and to all those parents who helped out on the evening.
Thank you also to Mrs Roche and Mrs Rudge who organised a charity collection at the event. Raising funds for the three local charities chosen by the children in their houses, Porchlight, Hospice in The Weald and Fegans, the night raised £653 which will be divided equally between the three charities. Collection pots are in reception for anyone who wasn’t at the event but would like to donate.
