Wonderful Photography from Year 4
Year 4 have been exploring the world of photography this week and learning about the life of local photographer Anna Atkins.
Anna was born in Tonbridge in 1799 and is widely regarded as the first female photographer. The children have used her incredible life and work as an inspiration to create their own non-chronological reports. To ignite their interest the children began by creating their own images of Anna’s work.
The Year 4 teachers were hugely impressed with the work the children have sent in. Mrs Lake said: “The work is so varied and gorgeous, and a testament to the children’s individuality and impressive creativity. Looking at them offered me a sense of tranquillity and positivity.”
We thought we’d share their fantastic work with you here, so you can enjoy it too.
