Coronavirus Policy

The Mead School considers the welfare and safety of its pupils and staff to be of the utmost importance. We have introduced comprehensive procedures to minimise the risk of Coronavirus infection within the school.

Education at The Mead School will be online as of Wednesday 6th January 2021, with children of critical workers, Nursery and Pre-Reception being taught in school following government advice. We are able to provide the usual full and varied curriculum so that our pupils do not miss out.

In the eventuality that the children who are in school do have to be sent home, online learning is in place and ready to roll out to ensure that there is no interruption to your child’s learning.

The Mead School follows all Government guidance on Coronavirus and has a number of safety measures in place, including:

  • class bubbles
  • stringent cleaning procedures
  • social distancing where possible
  • staggered pick up and drop off times
  • staggered lunches, breaks and playtimes
  • dedicated entrances and outside play areas for each bubble
  • strategically placed hand sanitiser stations
