The Mead School Performs at RTW Light Switch On
The Royal Tunbridge Wells Christmas Light Switch-On was a truly magical celebration – and The Mead School was proud to be right at the heart of it. Attended by thousands, the event took place outside the War Memorial and the Amelia Scott library. As the independent school in the centre of Tunbridge Wells, it was a privilege to take part in such a landmark occasion, celebrating both the season and the vibrant community we belong to.
A Showcase of Mead School Talent
The Mead School children took to the stage with confidence and joy, presenting a varied programme that delighted the crowds. Families and visitors enjoyed:
- Beautiful ballet pieces
- A festive Christmas dance
- Individual singing
- Clarinet and violin solos
- Piano performances
Festive Fun at The Mead School Stall
Alongside the stage performances, The Mead School stall spread plenty of Christmas cheer. Visitors enjoyed hands-on activities such as:
- Creating snow-filled baubles
- Decorating mini Christmas trees
- Crafting with pine cones
- Wrapping mini presents
- Christmas Cookies
The stall was busy throughout the day, with families stopping by to join the fun, chat with staff and soak up the festive spirit.
Proud to Be Part of Our Community
Being involved in the RTW Light Switch-On was an honour. We are immensely proud of every pupil who took part and extend a huge thank you to Royal Tunbridge Wells BID for hosting such a wonderful event.
Here’s to a joyful festive season — and to many more moments where our school can shine at the heart of the town. Up next, our school choir will be performing at the Pantiles Bandstand on Friday 28th November at 2pm.
