3,2,1 Cue Engaging English
Interactive lessons make children more motivated and interested in the subject matter. Children learn incredibly well through hands-on lessons, which help them understand and retain information properly.
Year 6 embarked on an enchanting journey after reading “Seasons of Splendour” in their English lesson! This book (brimming with Indian culture, tales, myths, and legends) has been the centre of their latest English lessons. To deepen their understanding, they created advert trailers, set to be judged by Mrs. Openshaw. This innovative approach enhances their comprehension skills and transforms their English lessons into an engaging multimedia experience.
The children created catchy synopses of the short stories. This activity incorporated language, music, vocabulary, media and ICT to provide a more holistic education experience.
Year 2 created their own David Attenborough-style documentary, enhancing their knowledge of animals. They enthusiastically took on various roles, each contributing uniquely to the project. They shared fascinating facts about their chosen animals, considering key elements like camera work, engaging presentation and captivating content. This hands-on approach deepened their understanding and sparked their creativity and teamwork skills.
