The Mead Win ISA National A Cappella Competition 2025

The Mead KS2 Choir travelled to Leighton Park in Reading to compete in the prestigious ISA National A Cappella Competition. With an impressive line up of specialist a cappella ensembles, the competition was fierce. However, after an outstanding performance, we are thrilled to announce that The Mead emerged victorious, winning the trophy in the Junior A Cappella Nationals 2025!

The standard of the competition was nothing short of extraordinary, with some of the best a cappella groups in the country taking part. Yet, the dedication, passion, and skill of The Mead Choir shone through, earning them a well-deserved victory. This remarkable achievement highlights not only their musical talent but also their commitment to excellence.

The ISA judged commented on the “Stunning tone and beautiful arrangement- simple and moving with a lovely blend of sound”

Mr. Walpot, Director of Music, expressed his immense pride: “I am so proud of all the children—not just for their outstanding singing, but also for their impeccable manners and the way they represented The Mead with such grace and enthusiasm. They truly did us proud.”

Congratulations to The Mead KS2 Choir—what an amazing achievement!
