Easter Celebrations at The Mead

At our school, Easter was celebrated in a truly special way, with a variety of activities that brought the whole community together. Our youngest children, in Pre-Reception and Reception, immersed themselves in the heart-warming Easter stories, learning about the traditions and meaning behind the season. Pre-Reception enjoyed baking when they made Easter nests.

One of the highlights was the performance at the King Charles the Martyr Church Easter concert. The children were absolutely thrilled to showcase their creativity, wearing beautifully crafted hats that they made for the event. Their performance was full of joy and energy and it was a wonderful way to celebrate Easter with family and friends.

As the term drew to a close, the entire school gathered outside for an exciting Easter egg hunt in the glorious sunshine. The children eagerly searched for eggs hidden throughout the school grounds, and their laughter filled the air as they discovered sweet surprises. The fun continued with a lively disco, where everyone danced and celebrated together to end the term on a high note.

It was a joyful and memorable time for all, filled with fun, learning, and plenty of Easter cheer!
