World Book Day!

We welcomed princesses, astronauts, knights, dinosaurs and wizards through our door on World Book Day this year!

Our children loved dressing up as their favourite literature characters and enjoyed sitting down to share a book with each other. Our theme this year was inspirational journeys.

World Book Day happens every year to promote reading for pleasure. According to the World Book Day Charity Foundation “Reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success”. Designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, World Book Day is marked in over 100 countries around the globe!

We were pleased to take part again this year and we value it as a brilliant opportunity to encourage our children to foster that love of reading and the creative pathways it can open up. It’s also a great opportunity for all of us to put on our fancy dress and have some fun!
