Year 6 Shine in ISA Drama Competition with Animal Farm
We are incredibly proud to share that our Year 6 pupils received an Honourable Mention in the Independent Schools Association (ISA) Drama Competition for their powerful performance of Animal Farm. The Year 6 children performed both at the ISA Drama competition and Trinity Theatre.
This recognition specifically celebrated the best props, costume and staging . The children took full responsibility for the organisation and execution of these elements on stage, showcasing creativity, initiative and teamwork.
The ISA Examiner praised the performance, noting:
“Overall interpretation, and the use of key props, costume, and set was really effective. The understanding of the text and themes was clear and there was some very slick and effective physical and vocal work.”
The feedback also highlighted the cast’s ambition and professionalism:
“An ambitious interpretation that kept the audience engaged throughout, with clear evidence of commitment to the rehearsal process and an advanced sense of timing and choreography in the whole-cast movement moments. This was an impressive piece of theatre from a talented and disciplined cast – nicely done, Mead School!”
Congratulations to our brilliant Year 6 team for their hard work, discipline, and creative flair – what a fantastic achievement!
