Music in the heart of Tunbridge Wells
Our location provides wonderful opportunities for our young musicians to perform beyond the school gates.
At King Charles the Martyr Church, our pupils perform concerts in a beautiful and historic setting, giving them the experience of performing to an audience in a significant local venue.
Music also takes us to The Pantiles, where our choirs have performed for the local community. There is something particularly special about seeing our pupils sharing their voices in such an iconic Tunbridge Wells setting.
These experiences give children more than performance opportunities. They build confidence, resilience and pride in what they have achieved – while allowing them to contribute to the cultural life of their town.
Part of the big moments
Our connection with Tunbridge Wells is perhaps most visible during the town’s celebrations.
Each year, our pupils take part in the Tunbridge Wells Big Light Switch-On, performing in the centre of town alongside the wider community. With thousands of people coming together for the occasion, it is an exciting opportunity for our children to perform on a much bigger stage.
For our pupils, these moments can be unforgettable. They see their school represented in the heart of the town, performing for friends, families and the wider Tunbridge Wells community.
